Frequently asked questions
How do I find my sandal size?
Our sandals run true to size for most people but we highly recommend checking out our Sizing and Fit Page to make sure you order the right size. We want that Goldilocks effect. Not to small, not too big, but just right.
How do I adjust my sandals for that dialed in fit?
Your sandals should fit snug enough to walk comfortably with a locked in fit with minimal adjustment. However, there are a few things to know. Like where the line lock should sit, how to trim and melt the end of your cord loop, etc. The great thing is they will quickly mold to the shape of your foot! It's like being barefoot without being barefoot. See our Sizing and Fit Page for all the details!
When will I get my order?
We work quickly because we want to be outside too.
Ultralight Sandals currently have a 2-week lead time. This means once your order is placed, they will ship within that timeframe.
Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times may vary depending on your location.
What is your return policy?
Returns shouldn’t be harder than a river crossing. So here’s the deal:
These are ULTRALIGHT sandals and should be treated with a "bit" of care. Don’t destroy them on purpose. Glissading down scree for fun doesn’t count as “testing.”
You’ve got 30 days.
Get outside. Get them dirty. Travel with them. Take them on that questionable “shortcut.” If they’re not your thing, send ’em back.
Thats it.
Refunds
Full refund to your original payment method. We process returns fast because we’d rather be outside too.
How to Start a Return
Email us. Tell us what happened. Bonus points for a trail story.
We’ll send you the details and get you sorted fast—no labyrinth, no attitude, no fine-print ambush.
Where are your sandals made?
Our Ultralight Sandals are hand made in the USA, right here in North Carolina.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
Do you donate to any trail organizations?
Yes! We donate a portion of every sale to the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, Pacific Crest Trail Association, and Continental Divide Trail Coalition. We are also joining 1% for the planet!
How are you working to make your products more sustainable?
Great Question! We are always looking for ways to reduce and/or reuse waste. We use recycled and recyclable mailers for shipping. We collect all of the scraps from our sandals and donate them to The Scrap Exchange in Durham, NC to be reused. We use recycled materials when ever possible and we are researching ways to offset our carbon footprint in an effort to be carbon neutral.
What is "DONT PaSS TRASH"?
DONT PASS TRASH is one simple way to make a difference...
Next time you’re out biking, hiking, or walking your dog and you see a piece of trash, don’t just pass it by, pick it up. No, it’s not your trash, but it is an opportunity for you to make a difference. YOU can “choose” to help cleanup our planet and leave it better than you found it. You don’t have to get every piece, but if you can make a habit of choosing to grab even one piece, I think you’ll find that it all adds up!
